McLovin Chihuahua Senior Male in Chicago, Illinois

My story
In order to alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society's physical locations. Please refer to the contact information below to inquire about adopting.

McLovin is a senior dog that loves to snuggle with people and mostly wants a comfortable place to burrow under a blanket and sleep. He also enjoys occasional tug-and-chew and exploring new smells outside. He would probably do best in a home without another dog as can be obnoxious around other larger dogs, though he has gotten along well with other small, laid back dogs. Until recently, McLovin was really great with children and could tolerate a lot, but he has become antagonistic towards our toddler, following her around, barking at her and occasionally nipping (he has not bitten). Giving him up after adopting him from a shelter 13 years ago is an extremely difficult decision, but he cannot be in a home with young children. Stephanie McAlister stephmcalister@gmail.com
